UTV or ATV shift sensors are small electronic components used in off-road vehicles that detect the position of the transmission shift lever. The shift sensors detect the position of the shift lever and inform the control system of the Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, Polaris, Kawasaki, or Can-Am machine, allowing the vehicle to shift into the correct gear. The gear indicator shift sensor is generally mounted on the shift linkage and sends a signal to the engine control unit (ECU) when the shift lever is moved. The ECU then reads the signal from the gear position sensor and adjusts the engine timing and shift points accordingly. All Balls Racing provides options for popular powersports models such as the Honda TRX400FA or Honda Rancher 350.
Shift angle sensors should remain in place and not be removed from the TRX250 or TRX350 as it can ruin the sensors' precise location and cause transmission issues. All Balls gives you the option to replace the problematic OEM sensors at a fraction of the OEM cost. Check out the speed sensor part numbers we keep in stock and see if you can upgrade your shift control module on the Honda TRX dirt scooter and race around with the enduro motorbikes and dirt bikes on the race tracks.
