ATV Brakes

ATV brakes are a super important aspect of the machine and one of the strongest safety features every terrain vehicle is equipped with. Front brake and rear brake pads are commonly replaced on vehicles with disc brake systems. The brake caliper holding the aftermarket brake pads pushes the pads onto the brake rotor and slows the machine down effectively. Brake shoes are still found on some ATV and UTV models where the system has a drum brake kit attached and the shoes expand inside the drum to cause friction and slow down the axles. Brake master cylinder rebuild kits are available to service your OEM system.

ATV brake pads come in organic and sintered options for different purposes. Off-road brake lines can also be upgraded to more efficiently send the brake fluid to the brake drum or the front/rear brake caliper. Brake parts can also include the brake cable for non-hydraulic systems and brake levers which initiate the sequence of events that leads to the machine slowing down. Brands such as Galfer, Newfren, EBC, and All Balls Racing provide the powersports industry with components to service your machine. Products are available for most models of Yamaha, Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Polaris, Can-Am, and Arctic Cat.
